This position is responsible for improving internal and external customer experience through supplier product monitoring, inspection process improvements, and recording / analysing returned goods and internal/external scrap generation.
HIRING HOURLY RANGE:
$20.

PRIMARY DUTIES Develops inspection plans / control plans Executes PPAPs (Production Part Approval Process) for new parts Collects / Analyses data and populates weekly/monthly quality reports Leads corrective actions / root cause analysis efforts on top internal and supplier quality issues Conducts inspection on incoming material Processes RGAs (Returns Goods) and reduces waste through RGA and scrap reduction programs Performs internal product / processes audits Provides Quality Assurance support for execution of engineering and development projects Conducts FAI (First Article Inspection) and prepares reports Promotes a culture in which Lean initiatives are developed and implemented; direct continuous improvement initiatives in assigned product groups Supports investigation of customer complaints Supportc Gage Calibration process Follows ISO 9001 and 14001 procedures Improves cost of quality ratios through waste reduction initiatives Reduces non-conformance and provides regular reporting on rework and rejected material REQUIREMENTS Minimum 2-year degree in Engineering/Quality associated discipline Bachelor degree preferred 5 plus years of experience in Quality Assurance Experience working with ISO 9000 and 14000 standards Experience with architectural hardware preferred CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS Team player and strong collaborator Problem solver (always brings solutions, enjoys challenges) Dependable (reliable and follows through on commitments) Familiarity with process improvement techniques and root cause analysis Competent PC skills including Microsoft Access, Excel and Outlook Strong communications skills, both written and verbal Accurate record documentation Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
